How does garden irrigation work with the "fix" garden system?

Rainwater flows from the roof through the gutter grate into the gutter and then via the downspout and the inlet surge arrester into the underground tank. (Multiple downspouts can also be connected.) The automatic submersible pressure pump located there is connected to the dispenser via a hose that runs through a conduit. When the faucet on the water dispenser is turned on, the pump starts automatically. When the faucet is turned off, the submersible pressure pump shuts off on its own. You can install the water dispenser wherever is convenient for you.
When the cistern is full, the rainwater drains off via the overflow siphon. The integrated barrier prevents small animals from entering.
If there is a risk of frost, the pump must be disconnected from the power supply. In addition, the water tap should remain open. You can find all further information in the download area.

Who is the "fix" garden irrigation system suitable for?

The complete set is suitable, on the one hand, for anyone who wants to keep the effort involved in installing their tank to a minimum. On the other hand, it is suitable for those who value the convenience of drawing water from a tap—for example, to fill a watering can.

Is the "fix" garden system drive-over?

The flat tank is not drive-over in this form. However, upon request, all flat tanks can be retrofitted with our kit for car drive-over capability. The resulting wheel load is 600 kg per wheel—which is sufficient for standard cars and small vans. In this case, however, the cistern must have a soil cover of at least 60 centimeters.

Where does the water from the overflow go when the tank is full?

The excess rainwater can be discharged into the sewer system. However, this incurs fees. Another disadvantage: The water does not return to the groundwater naturally.
The most environmentally friendly option is (trough) infiltration through the soil surface. However, this is often not structurally feasible.
With our infiltration elements, we offer a good way to allow overflowing water to infiltrate: Using
infiltration shafts or infiltration cubes, rainwater is guided back into the groundwater through the soil.

Do I need a rainwater filter?

The complete garden irrigation set generally does not require a rainwater filter. However, if you place particular value on extra-clean water in your garden, you can install our fully biological Biovitor rainwater filter for flat tanks in all flat tanks.

Important: Delivery Process

Our underground tanks are always delivered by a freight carrier. If accessories are shipped separately, this is done via a parcel service. The freight carrier will contact you 1–2 business days before the actual delivery date to clarify final details. For this, we need your phone number (ideally a cell phone number). We generally deliver cisterns or larger products by truck. The truck is unloaded at the curb. Please note, however, that suitable equipment (e.g., a mini-excavator) must be available on-site to move the cistern to the installation location, or, depending on the size, 2–3 people must be available. Please refer to the “Technical Data” table for the specific cistern for the exact weight. In some cases, such as double or multi-tank systems, delivery may be made by semi-trailer truck. Therefore, please inform us immediately after placing your order if the desired delivery address is NOT accessible to a 40-ton truck. Otherwise, we cannot accommodate this during delivery!

Please also note that no deliveries are made on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

GreenLife Biovitor DN 100 for flat tanks

Biological Filter for Rainwater HarvestingAre you looking for a low-maintenance rainwater filter that purifies your water without chemicals and achieves a high yield of top-quality rainwater? Then you’re in good hands with the GreenLife Biovitor. The Biovitor contains no wear parts, so you can count on maintenance intervals of up to ten years. We developed the GreenLife Biovitor to eliminate the need for chemical additives and high-maintenance filters in rainwater purification. Unlike conventional designs, the Biovitor uses the same natural processes for biological self-purification as our local waterways. This ensures consistently high-quality rainwater in your rainwater harvesting system  How our patented BIOVITOR biological rainwater filter works The Biovitor purifies your rainwater 100% chemical-free based on the natural decomposition process of organic material, such as leaf debris. It consists of two optimally sized chambers that guarantee highly efficient biological processes. Here’s how it works: The rainwater enters the gutter through the gutter grate (or other leaf guards) and eventually flows through the downspout into the Biovitor, which is located in the tank or cistern. The first chamber contains marble gravel, which can slightly raise the pH of the water to neutralize slightly acidic rain, if necessary. This also slightly mineralizes the rainwater. From here, the pre-treated water flows into the second chamber, which is equipped with bio-active media. Here, the remaining organic components are decomposed and broken down by oxygen and natural microorganisms in the water. Inorganic components settle at the bottom. The clear and clean water then slowly enters the rainwater tank to prevent turbulence. The Biovitor acts as an inlet stabilizer and achieves 100% rainwater yield, as there are no losses due to contaminated rainwater filters. Applications for the BIOVITOR Rainwater Filter Our biological rainwater filter improves the quality of your rainwater through biological processes. It is suitable for all cisterns and can be retrofitted to almost all rainwater systems. Additionally, the Biovitor is highly suitable for a rainwater system with subsequent infiltration; an additional filter before infiltration is then not necessary. Connection options: DN 100 (dₐ = 110) Connectable area: 170 m² Scope of delivery GreenLife BIOVITOR DN 100 Biological sedimentation filter with DN 100 connection (dₐ = 110): Rainwater inlet (inlet pipe DN 100)Biovitor tank with 1st and 2nd Biovitor chambers and overflows into the tankMarble gravelBio-active media Maintenance and cleaning Since the system does not rely on high-maintenance filter designs or chemical additives and contains no wear parts, maintenance intervals are typically five to ten years. Cleaning of the pre-filter systems, e.g., gutter grates or other leaf-trapping technology, is essential and must be performed regularly. Additional Notes Please refer to the operating instructions for the installation, maintenance, and mounting of the Biovitor.
