Rainwater harvesting system for the garden: “AKTION” garden system with a 4,200-liter rainwater tank Easy-to-install complete system for garden irrigation Our “AKTION” rainwater harvesting system is an all-inclusive package featuring a practical flat tank for easy installation underground. The high-quality rainwater tank is made of eco-friendly polyethylene (PE) and is 100% recyclable. The ready-to-connect complete set includes everything from the rainwater cistern to the submersible pressure pump—all the small and large components you need for rainwater harvesting in your garden. Collect precious rainwater in the underground rainwater tank during wetter times and use it for garden irrigation during drier periods. Do you have questions about the ideal tank size for your roof area and your individual usage? Feel free to use our rainwater planner. How does garden irrigation work with the "AKTION" garden system? Rainwater flows from the roof through the gutter grate (which acts as a pre-filter), then down the downspout and through the inlet surge arrester into the flat tank. The automatic submersible pressure pump located in the tank is connected to the water connection box via a hose that runs through a conduit. When the valve in the box is opened, the pump starts automatically. Closing the valve causes the submersible pressure pump to shut off on its own. You can install the water connection box wherever is convenient for you. When the cistern is full, the rainwater drains off via the overflow siphon. The barrier integrated here prevents small animals from entering. If there is a risk of frost, the pump must be disconnected from the power supply and the valve on the water connection box must remain open. You can find all further information under the DOWNLOADS tab and in the DOWNLOAD AREA.Who is the "AKTION" irrigation system suitable for? The complete set is suitable, on the one hand, for anyone who wants to keep the effort involved in installing their tank to a minimum. On the other hand, it is suitable for those who value the convenience of water withdrawal at a water connection box. Is the "AKTION" garden system drive-over? The flat tank is not drive-over in this form. However, upon request, all flat tanks can be retrofitted with our kit for car drive-over capability. The resulting wheel load is 600 kg per wheel—sufficient for standard cars and small vans. In this case, the cistern must have a soil cover of at least 60 centimeters. Where does the water from the overflow go when the tank is full? The excess rainwater can be discharged into the sewer system. However, this may incur fees. Additionally, the water does not return to the groundwater in a natural way when discharged this way. The most environmentally friendly option is (trough) infiltration through the soil surface. However, this is often not structurally feasible. With our infiltration elements, we offer a good way to allow overflowing water to infiltrate: Using infiltration cubes, infiltration blocks, or infiltration shafts, rainwater is guided through the soil back into the groundwater. Do I need a rainwater filter? This rainwater harvesting system generally does not require an additional rainwater filter. The gutter screen already provides sufficient coarse filtration. However, if you place particular importance on extra-clean water in your garden, you can install our fully biological Biovitor rainwater filter for flat tanks in all flat tanks. Installation and Maintenance Instructions for the 4,200-Liter Flat Tank Please follow the installation instructions (see also under “Downloads”): Before installing, connecting, and commissioning this product, read the instructions carefully and in their entirety, and observe all safety instructions. Failure to do so will void all warranty and guarantee claims. Additional features and notes Alternative equipment options are available for the tank; see “Accessories” below. The tank is UV-resistant and opaque. Possible connection sizes: DN 110 Our tank comes with 3 pre-installed DN 110 lip seals. Additional connection points are available and can be drilled and used as needed. The expansion dome is infinitely extendable from 380–580 mm and can be tilted up to 5° for optimal terrain adaptation. The tank has a 600 mm (access) opening. Do you have questions about this tank, its installation, or setup? Our customer service team is available to provide expert assistance. Please contact service@greenlife.de or our customer service at 0385 77 337 72 (weekdays 8 a.m.–4 p.m.). The entire system must be checked regularly for leaks, cleanliness, and stability. Maintenance of the entire system should be performed at intervals of approximately 5 years—every 10 years if a GreenLife Biovitor is used in accordance with the instructions. During this process, the system components must be cleaned and checked for proper function. Maintenance should be performed as follows:Empty the tank completelyRemove solid residues with a soft spatulaClean surfaces and internal components with waterCompletely remove dirt from the tankCheck that all internal components are securely fastened
Small-scale system for self-sufficiency: Turn rainwater into drinking water! Turn rainwater into drinking water without chemicals using the GreenLife UV 2000 drinking water treatment system If you want to be independent of tap water or simply don’t have a water connection but do have access to rainwater, then our UV 2000 drinking water treatment system is just right for you. Whether for a home, industrial or commercial facility, construction trailer, boathouse, etc.: With the GreenLife water treatment system, you can supply yourself with good drinking water—treated from rainwater! Let’s first consider rainwater: It is formed through evaporation in the atmosphere—an excellent and free initial treatment. As a result, rainwater has a high baseline quality as drinking and utility water. Among other things, it is free of lime and phosphate as well as hormone and medication residues. Treating the water is advisable, as it can reabsorb substances before being stored in the tank. Please check with your local authority (e.g., the public health department in Germany) to see if any additional local regulations apply to the operation of such a system. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@greenlife.de.How the drinking water treatment system works Rainwater treatment is chemical-free: After mechanical filtration, bacteria, germs, and viruses are rendered harmless through UV disinfection. The system is characterized by exceptionally high disinfection efficiency combined with a compact design and low energy consumption. First, the rainwater is directed to the tank (cistern). Whenever possible, only roof runoff water should be used, as—unlike with yard and driveway surfaces—relatively low levels of contamination are expected. If leaf fall is anticipated, please use gutter screens or similar devices to prevent leaves from entering the tank. For optimal pre-filtration in the (rainwater) tank, we recommend using our fully biological rainwater filter BIOVITOR.The pre-filtered rainwater is transported from the cistern to the UV 2000 drinking water treatment system via the GUP 46 submersible pressure pump. There, it first passes through two sediment filters (20 µm and 10 µm), then an activated carbon filter, and finally undergoes UV disinfection: The water to be treated flows through the housing and is directed along the quartz immersion tube in which the lamp is mounted. The thin water film thickness of only 7.5 mm (referring here to the distance between the UV light exit on the quartz tube surface and the inner wall of the housing) ensures optimal penetration of the medium by the UV light. The maximum treatment capacity of the drinking water treatment system is 2,000 liters per hour. Maintenance and Care Instructions for the UV 2000 Treatment System The special UV lamps should be replaced after 10,000 operating hours; otherwise, the disinfection rate will decrease. The UV lamp can be switched off when the system is not in use. The compact design allows for easy, tool-free lamp removal and replacement, e.g., at the end of the lamp’s service life. For cleaning purposes, the quartz immersion tube can also be removed or installed without tools. The filter cartridges for sediment filtration and the activated carbon filter should be replaced as needed, but at least every 4 months. You can order the set of replacement filters for up to one year of water treatment from our shop.In addition, for your own safety, quality samples of the filtered water should be taken and tested at regular intervals.
