DetailsFor filtering rainwater. The filter is installed inside the cistern or tank directly between the inlet and overflow. The height difference between these connections is at least 30 mm. The filter contains a slotted screen with a mesh size of 0.8 mm, through which purified water flows vertically into the tank. During heavy rain or when the water level is very high, dirt particles are removed from the surface of the screen. Thanks to this self-cleaning effect, maintenance is less frequent than with basket filters. Suitable for surface drainage up to 160 m². A hook for lifting the filter is included.Technical Data Material: PolyethyleneWeight: 2.35 kgLength: 500 mmWidth: 195 mmHeight: 350 mm
Biological Filter for Rainwater HarvestingAre you looking for a low-maintenance rainwater filter that purifies your water without chemicals and achieves a high yield of top-quality rainwater? Then you’re in good hands with the GreenLife Biovitor. The Biovitor contains no wear parts, so you can count on maintenance intervals of up to ten years. We developed the GreenLife Biovitor to eliminate the need for chemical additives and high-maintenance filters in rainwater purification. Unlike conventional designs, the Biovitor uses the same natural processes for biological self-purification as our local waterways. This ensures consistently high-quality rainwater in your rainwater harvesting system How our patented BIOVITOR biological rainwater filter works The Biovitor purifies your rainwater 100% chemical-free based on the natural decomposition process of organic material, such as leaf debris. It consists of two optimally sized chambers that guarantee highly efficient biological processes. Here’s how it works: The rainwater enters the gutter through the gutter grate (or other leaf guards) and eventually flows through the downspout into the Biovitor, which is located in the tank or cistern. The first chamber contains marble gravel, which can slightly raise the pH of the water to neutralize slightly acidic rain, if necessary. This also slightly mineralizes the rainwater. From here, the pre-treated water flows into the second chamber, which is equipped with bio-active media. Here, the remaining organic components are decomposed and broken down by oxygen and natural microorganisms in the water. Inorganic components settle at the bottom. The clear and clean water then slowly enters the rainwater tank to prevent turbulence. The Biovitor acts as an inlet stabilizer and achieves 100% rainwater yield, as there are no losses due to contaminated rainwater filters. Applications for the BIOVITOR Rainwater Filter Our biological rainwater filter improves the quality of your rainwater through biological processes. It is suitable for all cisterns and can be retrofitted to almost all rainwater systems. Additionally, the Biovitor is highly suitable for a rainwater system with subsequent infiltration; an additional filter before infiltration is then not necessary. Connection options: DN 100 (dₐ = 110) Connectable area: 170 m² Scope of delivery GreenLife BIOVITOR DN 100 Biological sedimentation filter with DN 100 connection (dₐ = 110): Rainwater inlet (inlet pipe DN 100)Biovitor tank with 1st and 2nd Biovitor chambers and overflows into the tankMarble gravelBio-active media Maintenance and cleaning Since the system does not rely on high-maintenance filter designs or chemical additives and contains no wear parts, maintenance intervals are typically five to ten years. Cleaning of the pre-filter systems, e.g., gutter grates or other leaf-trapping technology, is essential and must be performed regularly. Additional Notes Please refer to the operating instructions for the installation, maintenance, and mounting of the Biovitor.

If groundwater or perched water is present, appropriate protective measures are required. Please refer to the respective installation instructions for this. Alternatively, the use of a flat tank may be advisable if soil conditions permit. Read the installation instructions carefully and in their entirety before installation, connection, and commissioning, and observe all safety instructions. This is the only way to ensure safe and proper operation. Improper installation or failure to follow the instructions may void warranty and guarantee claims, particularly if a defect is attributable to faulty installation.
GreenLife's gutter guard is the perfect filter for rainwater. Whether the water is collected in cisterns or rain barrels, plant debris such as leaves and twigs can reduce water quality. It is therefore always recommended to pre-filter rainwater as thoroughly as possible, starting right at the gutter. Leaf guards filter rainwater Especially in the fall, when trees shed their leaves, it can be very frustrating when heavy rain causes leaves to enter the downspout and thus the rainwater tank. Not only does the quality of the collected water suffer from the debris, but it can also quickly clog the downspout. Cleaning often involves a lot of effort. Therefore, always use a leaf guard. Potential problems without a leaf guard Clogged downspouts Blockages in water hoses or showerheads Discoloration of the water Reduced water quality Staining of the gutter Breeding ground for pests With this simple leaf guard from GreenLife, such problems are a thing of the past. Assembly is incredibly easy, and cleaning usually requires nothing more than a hand brush. The gutter guard also provides reliable protection against birds. They can no longer nest in the gutter and must find other places to settle. Can I filter the rainwater even further? Yes, because the gutter guard is only a pre-filter. Depending on the type of your rainwater harvesting system, you can also use downspout filters, built-in filters, or tank-mounted filters. In addition to these mechanical filters, the patented Biovitoren for cisterns can also be used. These are biological filters that require very little maintenance. Installation of the gutter protection grid Installing the gutter guard is very straightforward. Each package contains segments for approximately 3.00 meters, which simply slot together. Depending on the width of the gutter, the guard can be folded. It fits any standard gutter size.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVG8j1yDEMM

Whether it’s a single-family home, industrial or commercial facility, construction trailer, boathouse, or other remote building: With the GreenLife drinking water treatment system, you can supply yourself with good drinking water—derived from an inexhaustible, natural resource: rainwater! Rainwater is formed through evaporation in the atmosphere—an excellent and free initial treatment. As a result, rainwater has a high basic quality as drinking and utility water. Among other things, it is free of lime and phosphate as well as hormone and medication residues. Treating the water is advisable, as it can reabsorb substances before being stored in the tank. How the drinking water treatment system works With our system, rainwater is treated into drinking water without chemicals: After mechanical filtration, bacteria, germs, and viruses are inactivated through UV disinfection, rendering them harmless. Via the GUP 46 submersible pressure pump, the rainwater you have collected in a water tank (cistern) is fed to the DVGW-certified drinking water UV treatment system. There, it first passes through two sediment filters (20 µm and 10 µm), then an activated carbon filter, and finally undergoes UV disinfection. The system can treat a maximum of 3.4 m³/h of water. It has been tested for safety and functionality by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). For further information, please contact us at info@greenlife.de Maintenance and Care Instructions for the DVGW-Certified Treatment SystemThe special UV lamps should be replaced after 10,000 operating hours; otherwise, the disinfection rate will decrease. Fully Biological Water Filter Biovitor The low-maintenance rainwater filter we developed purifies your water without chemicals and achieves a high yield of top-quality rainwater. Unlike conventional filters, the Biovitor uses the same natural processes for biological self-purification as our local waterways. The Biovitor contains no wear parts, so you can rely on maintenance intervals of up to ten years. UV Drinking Water Treatment System The GreenLife water treatment system, with its compact design and low energy consumption, impresses with its high disinfection performance; treatment is carried out without chemicals. After purification using two sediment filters and one activated carbon filter, any remaining bacteria, germs, or viruses are rendered harmless through UV disinfection. The UV lamp requires minimal maintenance; it should be replaced after 10,000 operating hours (as disinfection performance decreases). The system has a long service life. GUP 46 Clear Water Pressure Pump The high-quality, durable, and powerful GUP 46 submersible pressure pump delivers clear water to the desired locations in the house. As a multistage submersible pressure pump, it is primarily used in building services. A float switch acts as dry-run protection. All water-carrying parts of the pump are made of stainless steel. How the GreenLife Rainwater Treatment System with Underground Tank and Drinking Water Treatment Works Rainwater is directed from the available roof surfaces to the cistern (rainwater tank). Whenever possible, only roof runoff water should be used, as—unlike with courtyard and driveway surfaces—relatively low levels of contamination are expected. If leaves are expected, a gutter screen or similar leaf separator technology must be used. Once the rainwater reaches the cistern, the fully biological Biovitor rainwater filter ensures effective pre-filtration. As soon as a faucet is turned on at a connected outlet in the house, the vacuum water pump in the cistern starts up: The pre-filtered rainwater is transported by the pump to the drinking water treatment system. The rainwater to be treated first passes through two sediment filters (20 μm and 10 μm), then an activated carbon filter, and finally undergoes highly effective UV disinfection. The water is now safe to drink. For your own safety, water quality samples should be tested at regular intervals. The maximum treatment capacity of the drinking water treatment system is 2,000 liters per hour. For more information, see “Downloads” (above as a separate tab). Important Information and Technical Notes Underground tank system with Biovitor Install according to the installation instructions (see the "Downloads" tab). The underground tank is not drive-over in this configuration. Upon request, all underground tanks with a capacity of 2,200 liters or more can be retrofitted with our drive-over kit for passenger cars. When the tank is full, our infiltration cubes, infiltration blocks, or infiltration shafts offer good options for allowing overflowing rainwater to seep into the ground. Rainwater can also be directed in an environmentally friendly manner across the ground surface into an infiltration basin; this is the most eco-friendly option.Drinking Water Treatment UV 2000All components are pre-assembled on a mounting plate. The cartridges, including the filter cartridges of the three-stage filter, are pre-installed.
