Retention Tanks – Controlled Stormwater Retention for New Developments & Heavy Rainfall Events
GreenLife retention tanks and retention cisterns provide a reliable solution for decentralized stormwater retention. Available as both round tanks and shallow-profile tanks, these systems temporarily store excess rainwater during heavy rainfall events and release it in a controlled manner through an integrated flow control outlet.
By reducing peak discharge rates, retention tanks help relieve pressure on public drainage networks and support compliance with municipal stormwater management requirements, particularly in new residential and commercial developments.
The systems are equipped with an inlet calming device, overflow siphon, and walkable cover as standard. Capacities range from 2,000 to 99,800 litres, with optional configurations suitable for passenger vehicle or truck traffic. Multiple tanks can be combined to create larger retention volumes, and the systems can also be integrated with rainwater harvesting solutions for additional water reuse benefits.

Retention tank
Rainwater retention = local rainwater retention to relieve the burden on public sewer systems The retention of surface water in urban areas—especially in new development zones—is becoming increasingly important, both in the private and public sectors. Many municipalities levy fees on impervious surfaces and mandate rainwater retention; in some cases, it is also subsidized. Retention tanks / retention systems collect the falling precipitation, store it, and release it to the sewer system in a delayed / throttled manner. This helps relieve the sewer system during heavy rainfall events. GreenLife offers you a comprehensive range for a wide variety of applications: • Retention tanks from 11,700 L to 99,800 L • With a floating retention throttle with throttling capacities of 0.05–2.5 l/s • with inlet stilling basin and overflow siphon • Combination of retention (50%) and rainwater harvesting (50%) possible (please contact us for more information!) • Easy handling due to lower weight compared to concrete or steel • Includes a retractable sliding dome with a walkable plastic cover • Optionally accessible to cars or trucks* • Can be combined via bottom connection for larger retention volumes * See recommended accessories

Retentionsflachtank
