Greywater recycling plant GWI 45.2-45.000 (capacity 45,000 l/day)

Product information " Greywater recycling plant GWI 45.2-45.000 (capacity 45,000 l/day)"

This system can treat up to 45,000 liters of graywater per day.

The GWI 45.2 – 45,000 graywater recycling system is a high-performance, fully automatic large-scale system designed for industrial applications, large-scale neighborhood and site structures, as well as complex infrastructure and utility systems with very high graywater volumes. It is designed to treat graywater from sanitary and shower areas in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings and is suitable for large-scale neighborhood and urban development systems, major industrial sites, industrial parks, and networked production clusters, as well as overarching infrastructure and utility systems.

Through the combination of biological treatment and modern ultrafiltration (membrane filters), graywater is reliably purified, made usable as process water, and specifically applied where drinking water quality is not required—e.g., for irrigation, cleaning purposes, or toilet flushing. When operated properly, the treated water meets the quality standards of the EU Bathing Water Directive for industrial water applications.

The system actively contributes to saving drinking water and supports sustainable water management in large-scale industrial areas, neighborhood systems, and overarching infrastructure and supply networks.

Our graywater systems are configured on a project-specific basis and adapted to the respective structural and technical requirements. The configuration listed here therefore represents an example of a typical design. Variations in the type, number, and design of the components are possible depending on the project.

The delivery time for the system is approximately 4–6 weeks.

Functionality & Technology

The overall purification process consists of biological treatment and ultrafiltration. The treated water is then stored in the service or clear water tank.

The BioMembrane filter technology used ensures the separation of biomass from the greywater through its barrier effect and guarantees a very high hygienic quality of the clear water.

The system consists of several coordinated components:

  • Sedimentation tank for pre-treatment
  • Aeration tank for biological treatment
  • Filtration unit with an ultrafiltration membrane that retains the finest particles, germs, and bacteria
  • Service water tank for storing the treated water

The entire graywater treatment process is fully automated via an integrated control system. If there is insufficient process water available, standard-compliant drinking water is added to ensure a reliable supply at all times. After power outages, the system automatically resumes operation.

Applications

The GWI 45.2 – 45,000 graywater treatment system is designed for:

  • large-scale neighborhood and urban development systems
  • industrial parks as well as large industrial sites and production clusters
  • extensive clinics, hospitals, and administrative centers
  • large hotel and resort complexes with very high occupancy rates
  • overarching infrastructure and utility projects

It enables a significant reduction in drinking water consumption and actively contributes to sustainable water management and lower operating costs.

Installation

  • Indoor system, intended for installation in utility rooms
  • Installation, commissioning, and maintenance must be performed exclusively by qualified personnel
  • Separate piping required for greywater and process water
  • Clearly marked pipes in accordance with applicable standards
  • The treated water must not be connected to the drinking water supply.

The system must be installed and operated in accordance with applicable technical regulations (including DIN standards and the Drinking Water Ordinance). Service water systems must generally be registered with the relevant public health department.

Maintenance & Operation

  • Annual maintenance by qualified personnel is required.
  • Regular visual and functional inspections by the operator are recommended.
  • Maintenance and inspections must be documented in the operating log.

Proper operation ensures a long service life, high operational reliability, and consistently high water quality. By adhering to the manufacturer’s specifications and handling the system responsibly, the system also stands out for its low maintenance requirements.

Drinking water treatment system Rain2Drink OSMOSE
Drinking water treatment system Rain2Drink OSMOSE

Rain2Drink OSMOSIS - Safe Water Treatment at the Highest Level The Rain2Drink osmosis system from GreenLife reliably treats rainwater or raw water into high-quality, virtually mineral-free purified water—ideal for demanding applications in households, commercial settings, or self-sufficient water supply systems. The system is based on modern reverse osmosis technology and reliably removes dissolved substances, microorganisms, and unwanted contaminants from the water. Thanks to its multi-stage design and automatic control, the system operates efficiently, precisely, and reliably. How reverse osmosis works In reverse osmosis, water is forced under pressure through a semipermeable membrane. Even the finest dissolved substances, ions, and microorganisms are retained in the process. The result is high-purity water of outstanding quality with significantly reduced conductivity. Technology & Design The Rain2Drink osmosis system combines several coordinated components for effective water treatment: Pre-filtration (5 µm) – reliably removes suspended solids and particles High-pressure pump – generates the necessary pressure for membrane filtration Reverse osmosis membranes – central purification unit for removing dissolved substances Automatic flushing – prevents scale buildup and extends service life Intelligent control – monitors pressure, flow, and system status The system is designed for continuous operation and runs fully automatically with integrated safety mechanisms. Your benefits at a glance High-purity water – removes microorganisms, salts, and dissolved substances Efficient reverse osmosis technology – purification efficiency of up to 95% Fully automatic operation – with integrated control and monitoring Durable & low-maintenance – robust components and modular design Versatile application – for residential, commercial, or self-sufficient systems Made in Germany / high-quality system integration Technical Highlights Multi-stage treatment system Continuous operation possible Automatic pressure monitoring and shutdown Integrated flow and conductivity control Maintenance-friendly design with replaceable components Applications Self-sufficient water supply (e.g., off-grid on-site solutions, remote or rural buildings) Treatment of rainwater to utility or drinking water quality Commercial applications and agriculture Technical applications with high water quality requirements Note on water quality For optimal operation, the raw water should be pre-filtered and free of critical substances such as chlorine, oil, or high iron content, as these can impair the membranes.
