The two-zone raised bed, featuring soil sections of varying depths, provides optimal conditions for both drought-tolerant and moisture-loving plants, as well as shallow- and deep-rooted varieties, creating the perfect conditions for mixed planting. The integrated 180-liter water reservoir—the lower container—collects excess rainwater or irrigation water that drains downward, creating a nutrient-enriched reservoir. Designed like a modern rain barrel, it can be filled directly from the roof (via a downspout filter) or with a hose—or the system can simply be set up outdoors. Thoughtful design: Shelving, an ergonomic working height, low weight when filled, and durable, robust materials make “Max & Moritz” a stylish, eco-friendly, and convenient recycling garden bed for modern urban gardeners.
